There is no better refuge  for a child  than its mother’s arms. An honest, loving hug conveys trust and security. It gives the feeling of warmth, love and tenderness.

Since sincere hugs are a perfect  haven  , we dedicate an entire post to this topic.

A hug gives warmth in good times and bad

In order to cope with the adversities of life, a hug from a loved one is very helpful: that of your own child. Every mother knows how soothing, calming and enjoyable a hug her child can be.

When we are depressed, she lets us look ahead, when we feel defenseless like a frightened girl, the little arms who barely manage to surround us know, dissolve all fears and transform us into courageous mothers again.

It is the same with our children. Nobody knows exactly why the mother’s hug is so comfortable. Some believe it is pure chemistry as each is part of the other, like a deeply rooted tree in blossom.

Mother is a refuge for daughter

The hug that warms you in beautiful moments gives you a feeling of deep happiness.

In bad times, the hug gives you unconditional support and forgiveness. It relieves pain, dries tears and comforts whenever necessary.

The best haven for your child are your arms

The mother’s arms are the best refuge for children  as they express intense love, support and protection. They give emotional stability and strengthen mutual bonds and love.

When you hug your child, you use body language to tell them that you are with them.

If they are having a painful time, such as the loss of a loved one, parent separation, social rejection, bullying, or any other reason,  an honest hug can help empower your child.

It takes the warmth of your arms  to grow healthily, be happy, overcome pain, and heal wounds. You can support it with repairing words, explain how you can be resilient, but the warming body contact should not be missing.

When is it important to hug your child?

Refuge mother

There is no specific time, day, or situation to hug your child. Every moment is the best to do this. But there are certain situations in which hugs should not be missing.

Here some examples:

  • The goodbye in the morning when your child goes to kindergarten or school. A hug between the door and the hinge or in front of the school entrance is good for the child.
  • When they come home, you can greet them with a hug too.
  • When you wake your child in the morning, they’re also perfect for hugging. Maybe it’s still tired and doesn’t feel like getting up. But a hug is good for him and will help him. Or if she doesn’t feel like washing herself, maybe you can do that with a hug.
  • If your child is sad because they had an argument with their best friend, got a bad grade, lost a toy, or hurt themselves, a hug is also very comforting.
  • Even if the opposing team wins in football, for example, the refuge in the mother’s arms is perfect for strengthening yourself.
  • If you’re looking at childhood photos together and having fun, a hug is just as good.
  • In the evening, when you lie down with your child to read them a story, sing or talk to them, they will visibly feel comfortable and calm after a hug and will sleep much better.

Give your child hugs like bread and milk at breakfast. No tenderness is too much, every moment in the mother’s arms is a gift. Treat your child to this haven, it is the best and most beautiful there is. It will always feel loved and safe.
